Welcome to Active Mindz Nursery
Active Mindz Nursery is strategically located in Al Nanda 1, our campus is spacious, airy and conducive to a growing child’s needs. We follow the EYFS – UK Curriculum and theory of multiple intelligence. We enroll children from 1-6 years of age. At Active Mindz, you can be assured of a safe and positive environment that fosters your child’s learning.
We recognize that child develops and learn in different ways and at different rates. We are sensitive to the individual development of each child to ensure that the activities they undertake are suitable for the stage that they have reached. Children are stretched, but not pushed beyond their capabilities, so that they can continue to enjoy learning.
1. ARRIVAL & WELCOME ACTIVITY
A great day begins with a good morning! As the gates open, we gear up to welcome our little bundles of joy who fill the castle of love with happiness. A set of activities are planned in the such a way to help our kids to settle down.
2. CIRCLE TIME
Our favorite activity at Active Mindz Nursery is the Circle Time! Here, the toddlers are seated in a circle and the teachers indulge them in fun conversations, stories and puppet play. Circle Time is an important part of their day as they warm up, meet their classmates and are introduced to different colors, letter, numbers based on their theme . The aim of each round is to allow the Kids to freely share their thoughts with their peers and learn about their surroundings and the world in a fun way.
3. READING TIME
We believe that reading books, stories and tales is essential to children. Therefore, we encourage children to read every day! Classrooms reading corners, library, indoor puppet area, reading garden are all great areas that our children enjoy spending time in.
Reading exercises children’s brain improves concentration, improves vocabulary and language and develops children’s imagination.
Above all, READING IS FUN!!!
4. CURRICULAR ACTIVITY
At Active Mindz, letters and numbers are not just modes of expression but our Kids’ best friends. We simply love to be the cupid and introduce them to magic of words and rhymes! Our interactive curriculum books are filled with delightful activities and colorful illustrations to provide a wholesome learning experience with a focus on pre-reading, pre-numbers and pattern writing. With flash cards we introduce phonetic sound and improve recognition of words and letters.
5. LUNCH TIME
At our Nursery, we promote healthy eating to make our kids stronger & sharper, so a balanced diet is a must! We encourage parents to send healthy meals and snacks. Snack time is a great time for children to learn about healthy food, fruits and vegetables, socialize with their peers, learn about other cultures and develop their listening skills.
6. EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITY
Extra – Curricular activity proved to be of great value especially in the Early Years. It is in these vital programs that children learn how to develop skills such as team work, leadership, communication, discipline and commitment. Our children enjoy various extra – curricular activities such as Gym, Karate, music and movement, Dance and Yoga. This way we also enhance the gross motor skills of the Kids.
7. DISPERSAL
It’s finally time to say goodbye to the teachers and friends! The exit area/ pick up area where the safe handover process ensures smooth dispersal every day. The excitement with which the Kids share about their day with their parents is a sight to witness!
